Ashtanga Yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs.


While working with Yoga we noticed a deep chasm between what safe and scientific Fitness demands of Astanga Yoga poses and postures, sophisticated approach to individual health and well-being based on world-class skills. Not only was the average fitness trainer ignorant of Ashtanga Yoga Fitness Sciences and dependent on embarrassingly primitive notions of exercise but  was unaware of even rudimentary knowledge of first aid and cardio pulmonary resuscitation!

Ashtanga Yoga is much more than doing the postures in a particular sequence. This is aimed at those who have an open mind and a desire to understand the system in a way that enhances whatever method of practice they choose to participate in. Yoga first take a broad perspective of what the purpose of yoga asana is and how Ashtanga Yoga fit into it. In order to do this we will look at the physical aspects of the Yoga as well as access points in the practice, and how breathing relates to creating the energetic fuel for the Yoga practice of Ashtanga Asana.
